The Unquenchable Fire of Olympos. Burning stones, a natural wonder worth seeing. A small, historical and touristic natural gas resource near the village of Çıralı in Antalya's Kemer district. It is located in a scenic location close to the sea, the flames coming out of the stones attract tourists. It has been burning for 2500 years, it was also the subject of Greek mythology. It is located in the southwest of Antalya province, at the southern edge of Kemer district borders. It is 3 km west of the beach and 180 m above sea level. It is 55 km away from Antalya, in the north west of Çıralı Bay, within the boundaries of Olimpos Bey Mountains National Park. Natural gas leaking from the cracks is dry and odorless. The composition of the gas consists of methane (82.96%), ethane (14.5%), nitrogen (1.5%) and carbon dioxide (1%). The gas coming out of the stones catches fire when it comes into contact with oxygen.
